What is the Gospel? How can I be saved?
Nothing in life is more important than knowing Jesus as Savior and following him as Lord. So it is urgent that you understand the gospel or “good news” of Jesus. Visit this page to watch a brief explanation.
When should I be there?
Regular gathering times include:
- Sunday School Groups at 10:00am
- Sunday Worship at 11:00am
- Sunday Evening Prayer & Bible Study at 6:00pm
During September through November and February through April, kids and students meet for Worship on Wednesdays (WOW) at 6:00pm-7:15pm.
How do I get there?
If you need directions, please click here.
What do I wear?
People wear anything from dress clothes to jeans and t-shirts. Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Is there parking for visitors?
Yes. Please park in one of the designated spaces directly in front of the sanctuary (a.k.a. the building with a steeple).
Will I be singled out as a first-time guest?
We don’t ask first-time guests to stand or raise their hands during the worship gathering. We know that visiting a church can already be uncomfortable and challenging, so we don’t want to make it even harder. At the door, a greeter will hand you a first-time guest packet and a coloring book for your kids. We simply ask you to fill out the first-time guest card in the packet so we can contact you about your visit. We want to talk to you to see if you have any questions or needs we can help meet.
What’s available for kids?
For a full line-up of activities, visit our kids page. During the Sunday morning worship gathering, we offer a nursery for preschoolers staffed by friendly volunteers. If you’re the mother of a baby, please feel free to utilize our mom and baby room located in the foyer to the left as you enter the sanctuary. For older kids of first-time guests we have coloring books and crayons at the front door to help them sit still.
How can I get connected?
Take your first step towards getting connected by joining a Sunday School Group. You can learn more by Sunday School Groups page or by contacting the church.
How do I become a member?
Church membership is an important part of following Jesus. To learn how to become a member of Mt. Tabor, click here.
Who can I ask if I have further questions?
When you visit, feel free to ask any of the friendly faces you meet. Everyone will be happy to assist you. If you have questions before or after your visit, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
